Free prize draw terms and conditions for Macmillan Charity Raceday Tickets (the “Prize Draw”)

By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Promotional materials relating to the Prize Draw, including all information on how to enter the Prize Draw, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotional materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.

1. The Promoter

The promoter of this Prize Draw is Macmillan Cancer Support registered charity in England and Wales (261017), Scotland (SC039907) and the Isle of Man (604); a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (02400969), Isle of Man company number 4694F. Registered office: 3rd Floor, Bronze Building, The Forge, 105 Sumner Street, London, SE1 9HZ (“Macmillan, we, us, our”).

2. Eligibility

2.1The Prize Draw is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over.

2.2 In entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Macmillan may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.

2.3 Macmillan reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Prize Draw.

2.4The following individuals are not eligible to take part in the Prize Draw:

(a)employees of Macmillan, or any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, and their immediate family members and members of their households; and

(b)anyone otherwise connected with the operation or fulfilment of the Prize Draw.

3. How to enter

3.1 There will be five Prize Draws throughout the Macmillan Cancer Support ‘Walk 100k in May’ event (each a “Weekly Friday Prize Draw”). A Weekly Friday Prize Draw will take place every Friday morning in May 2025.

3.2 All Prize Draw entries must be received by Macmillan by no later than 23:59 BST on the Thursday before each Weekly Friday Prize Draw (each a “Weekly Closing Date”). All Prize Draw entries received after the Weekly Closing Date will be automatically entered into the next Weekly Friday Prize Draw the following Friday or, in the case of the final Weekly Friday Prize Draw on Friday 30th May 2025, disqualified.

3.3 Upon signing up to the Macmillan Cancer Support Walk 100k May event via the website at https://walk100kmay.macmillan.org.uk eligible entrants will be automatically entered into each Weekly Friday Prize Draw following their sign-up.

3.4 There is a limit of one entry per person per Weekly Friday Prize Draw.

3.5 Macmillan will not accept responsibility for Prize Draw entries that are not successful completed regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any technical fault, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, computer hardware or software failure, satellite or server failure of any kind.

4. The prize and the draw

4.1 The prizes are five pairs to tickets to the Macmillan Charity Raceday at York Racecourse on Saturday 14th June 2025. There is one pair of tickets to be won in each Weekly Friday Prize Draw .

4.2 Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize.

4.3 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

4.4 Macmillan will conduct a Weekly Friday Prize Draw for one pair of tickets according to the following schedule during May 2025:

(a)Friday 2nd May 2025 (Weekly Closing Date: Thursday 1st May 2025 23:59 BST): one pair of tickets

(b)Friday 9th May 2025 (Weekly Closing Date: Thursday 8th May 2025 23:59 BST): one pair of tickets

(c)Friday 16th May 2025 (Weekly Closing Date: Thursday 15th May 2025 23:59 BST): one pair of tickets

(d)Friday 23rd May 2025(Weekly Closing Date: Thursday 22nd May 2025 23:59 BST): one pair of tickets

(e)Friday 30th May 2025 (the “Final Draw Date”) (Weekly Closing Date: Thursday 29th May 2025 23:59 BST): one pair of tickets.

4.5 The prize winners for each draw will be selected by a random number generator.

4.6 An entrant can only win one pair of tickets across each of the five Weekly Friday Prize Draws.

5. Winners

5.1 The decision of Macmillan is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

5.2 Macmillan will contact the winners personally as soon as practicable after each Weekly Friday Prize Draw in May 2025 as detailed in condition 4.4 (each an “Announcement Date”), using the telephone number or email address provided when signing up to the ‘Walk 100k May’ event.

5.3 Macmillan must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Macmillan will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails macmillanevents@macmillan.org.uk within one month after the Final Draw Date.

5.4 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Macmillan by email to macmillanevents@macmillan.org.uk. In such circumstances, Macmillan must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

6. Claiming the prize

6.1 The prize will be sent to the winners by post in the week commencing 2nd June 2025. Please allow seven days for delivery of the prize.

6.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

6.3 Macmillan will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted within seven of days of the applicable Announcement Date, Macmillan reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible registered participant. The participant would be determined by a draw that would take place after the seven-day claim period has elapsed from the eligible entrants received before the applicable Weekly Closing Date.

6.4 Macmillan does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

7. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, Macmillan, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Macmillan, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

8. Data protection and publicity

Macmillan will only process your personal information as set out in our privacy policy available at https://www.macmillan.org.uk/privacy-policy. Please also see condition 5.3 and condition 5.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.

9. General

9.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Macmillan may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Prize Draw.

9.2 Macmillan reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

9.3 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
