A further 56kms added to the total this week making a total of 193kms walked since the beginning of May.
The support from my friends has been amazing and humbling, with over £1,289 donated so far - thanks so much to everyone who has donated so generously.
Another 5 rounds of golf, at least, planned over the next 8 days, together with a stroll round the Dales (weather dependant) should see me SMASH through the 250km mark - who knows what the donated total will be?!

Thats good going for a Petrolhead!
Well done Ian.

Great comment Dave! It's only the fact that I've done many of thousand steps wandering aimlessly ('scuse the pun) around various golf courses that has made it such an enjoyable challenge. Many thanks for your donation. regards, Ian |

Hi Ian, pleased to donate to good cause altho' I had to think hard about it in view of the recent 'restructuring' with substantial cuts in jobs (400 redundancies), services (helpline and grant scheme), combined with recruitment of several senior roles. Just have to hope it's not losing direction and focus, and will work out for the best. Keep on walking mate! Cheers, Mel.5

Mel, many thanks for your very generous donation. I too have been very concerned about the cutbacks announced / implemented at Macmillan's, however, I decided that this was even more reason to do what I could to support them. regards, Ian |

Keep it up Ian! By my rough maths that’s a Yorkshire three peaks distance every 6 days!
Good luck and best wishes,
Paul

Paul. Many thanks for kind donation. Much easier walking on the golf course or along the canal bank than climbing the 3 Peaks - and a lot less dangerous as you well know!! Hope the knees recover well without the need for an op. Cheers, Ian |
