An estimated 1 in 2 people will get cancer at some point in their lives in the U.K., and when you consider those statistics, we all will be affected in some way, whether it’s ourselves or our loved ones.
I’m sure many will empathise, and I’m not alone in seeing friends and family being diagnosed. Last year, my other half sadly lost his father to cancer.
My own father had kidney cancer a few years ago, and more recently a lovely friend was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Happily, both are doing much better now.
This May I want to support Macmillan by walking 100km, which is the very least I can do after the support they’ve offered people close to me, and many more.
I hope you’ll join me in this support and as always, I am very grateful for any amount you can donate.
Thank you,
Laura
You’re secretly a Hobbit and I love it. Pack all the snacks xx
